Too Dog Gone Cute to Resist

I tried,

I really did.
But....I couldn't do it.
So, I made one.
One turned into three.
They were just
too Dog Gone Cute to resist.

I have three very special little friends
down in Houston
who will delight in receiving this year's Christmas gifties!

Thank you, Lorna, for yet another delightful pattern.
The Blog Hop was lots of fun.
The pups were addicting.
Wish I had more time, I'd keep making them!
What a great fundraiser idea for the SPCA.
May just have to revisit this pattern
for more quilty fun.

Linking to Sew Fresh Quilts linky party!

I'm also linking to ALYoF

I fly back to Texas for the winter in 5 short weeks,
so I'm designating my remaining time here
to finishing up everything I have started.

This quilt has been a UFO for a fair amount of time.
I decided to quilt it this summer, choosing to stitch in the ditch.
Oh, what was I thinking?
It's been sitting unfinished in a pile for a few weeks now,
but I'm back at it, and it WILL be finished and bound
by the end of the month.
There are no more butterflies to distract me!

Today is the last day to enter my give away!

Have a wonderful, funderful day!

The kiddies will just adore their new pillows. You did a fantastic job! Hard to believe you are almost ready to head back to Texas. Where did the time go? I loved seeing the background quilts, especially Ann's UFO! Good luck with your finishing-up goal. hugs

Adorable puppies. Your quilt looks pretty. I look forward to seeing it finished. I have been working on a UFO mystery 2011 quilt. I have all the blocks made. I just need to sew them into rows and then decide if it needs a border. I will fee good to have this completed.

love your pillows and the quilt. I didn't get into the challenge as although I like the animal quilts Lorna makes they are not my style. you don't fly to Texas for 5 more weeks! it sounds like you are spending the first part of winter in the north this year - that is something new for you isn't it. A little bit of a change is good for us isn't it.

Love those pups! I've been keeping that out of sight of my children! Are you stitching in the ditch by hand? Good luck with it however you're doing it!

Your ufo quilt looks like it has a very interesting pattern. I'll have to stop back and see it when you post a photo of it laid out. Your dogs are cute.

I'm so jealous you get to winter in Texas! We alternated between our love of southern Arizona and our love of Texas. Most Texas years were spent in the area of Uvalde, south of there in Crystal City (Spinach capital of the world, in case you wondered), though we did go down around Weslaco for a month once, and stayed in Livingston a couple of times - in fact, that's where we were when Paul died. My family is all from West Texas - El Paso to Odessa. Anyway, I'm jealous. =)

I love your pillows, they are just perfect gifts - or keepers, either!

The pups are sew cute. Nice pillows. I didn't attempt them at this time but my friend has 12 blocks made. They look like her dog.
That's a lot of stitch in the ditch. Can't wait to see the quilt finished

Those pillows are just cute!! I love the blue/green quilt sitting behind the one, I can't remember what the pattern is called. Best wishes on finishing your UFO's. I'm with you, stitching in the ditch is rather tedious and on a large quilt, that's a lot of it.
Have a great week!
